The Greeley Grays Honoring its rich history Original Grays player Alvin Garcia and owner Ray Klesh.

The Greeley Grays have been part of the community since the early 1920's and officially took the name of the Grays when Alvin Garcia renamed the Greeley Spanish Colony baseball team to the "Grays" in 1939. Alvin changed the name because he liked the uniforms and name of the Negro League Homestead Grays.

This photo is from the final home game of the 2007 season where the current Grays hosted a tribute to Alvin Garcia and original Grays players. In the photo you can see Alvin Garcia and owner Ray Klesh holding a gift from the team to Alvin; a framed photo of historic baseball equipment autographed by the playoff bound 2007 Grays. This tribute night was an opportunity to join the foundation of the past - with the effort of the present - to help build the future of Your Greeley Grays!

There are many ways to become part of the Greeley Grays family for this season and the future. Contact me at cwwaters@greeleygrays.com or call me directly at 970-405-5803 for information on how you, your family or your business can get involved with Your Greely Grays.
